(Much needed) Update:
Hi there Tumblr! Sorry I’ve been MIA for about 6 months. I’m going to try to be better about posting from here on out (Happy New Year, by the way!) I’ve been studying aerials at Frequent Flyer’s Productions in Boulder, CO since August. Since that time I have fallen in love with circus arts and decided to pursue a career as a circus aerialist. I am training very hard for the National Circus School (in Montreal) audition in February, but I’m keeping other options in sight as well (seeing as that’s a bit of a long shot due to my lack of gymnastics background). I would like to delve further into quality circus training, and my eye is on a job with Cirque du Soleil within the next five years. Although I came in with only a basic background in fabric, I’ve taken nicely to the Lyra, and it’s become my apparatus of choice. Also taken an interest in hooping, juggling, and silting, as well as studying various other aerial apparatus daily (Trapeze, fabric, Spanish web, ect.). I really do feel like I’ve found my niche here and I’m excited about my improvement everyday. I have an apartment in Boulder with a Pro Cyclist, named Lauren, and another aerialist, Helium. I’ve loved getting to know Boulder as a city, but the bitter Colorado winter is a bit of a shock after four years of mild Southern ones in VA. Sorry, I’ve been a little off the map for a few months. I don’t have a lot of access to the internet except on my phone. I hope everyone is well! Hopefully you’ll be hearing a lot more from me! Xoxo -Eleanor
